1 package Eating Right Kids® carrots.
2-3 other raw vegetables cut into thin slices. Options: celery, bell peppers or cucumbers.
Serve with 2 Tbsp Hummus or Low Fat Dressing.
Tip: Cut fresh veggies in bulk and store in Ziploc® Brand Storage Bags.


Get Jammin' Diggity-Dog
2 Tbsp Peter Pan® Peanut Butter
1 whole grain hot dog bun
1 whole peeled banana
1 Tbsp strawberry jam
INSTRUCTIONS:
Spread peanut butter on a whole grain hot dog bun and top with a whole, peeled banana and a squiggle of jam. Serve with a mandarin orange and a bottle of refreshing Dasani® water.

Carrot Salad
4 carrots, shredded
1 apple - peeled, cored and shredded
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup raisins
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a bowl, combine the carrots, apple, lemon juice, honey, raisins, salt and pepper. Toss and chill before serving.


Purple Power Smoothie
2 bananas, peeled and cut in chunks
½ cup frozen blueberries or blackberries
1 cup 100% pure orange juice or cranberry-grape juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup ice
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
½ cup nonfat or soy milk (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place bananas, blueberries, juice, vanilla and ice in a blender, puree. Add honey to sweeten. Use nonfat or soy milk to add creaminess to the smoothie.

Turkey Apple Wrap & Roll
1 whole wheat tortilla
2 Tbsp Hellmann's® Light Mayo
3 slices of Primo Taglio® Turkey Breast
1 Sorrento/Precious® String Cheese
1 large leaf of romaine lettuce
1 Gala apple, thinly sliced
INSTRUCTIONS:
Spread a thin layer of light mayonaise on tortilla. Top with 3 slices of turkey breast. Shred string cheese into four sections and place on turkey. Layer one piece of romaine lettuce, and five Gala apple slices. wrap tortilla and slice in half. Optional: add sliced tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. Serve with a cold bottle of POWERADE PLAY®.

Kick It Up Fruit Snack
This treat can be made with any kind of fruit of relatively the same size. Options: apples, pears or oranges.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Slice two pieces of fruit that are relatively the same size and alternately stack the pieces as shown.


Better Banana Muffins
¾ cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
3 large bananas, mashed
¾ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1 ½ Tablespoons butter, melted
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat muffin pans with non-stick spray, or use paper liners. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
2. Combine bananas, sugar, cinnamon, applesauce, egg, and melted butter in a large bowl. Fold in flour mixture, and mix until smooth. If desired, fold in walnuts. Scoop into muffin pans.
3. Bake in preheated oven. Bake mini muffins for 15 to 20 minutes, and large muffins for 30 to 35 minutes. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the muffin comes out clean.
Serve with low-fat or nonfat cream cheese as an extra treat.
